The emotionless Egyptian seems to have turned over a new leaf in the new year. He is willing to fight for his place in the Middlesbrough team and wants to repay the fans for the faith have put into him.

Mido was angered at the news of a potential disastrous swap deal to Newcastle and has tried to clear the air with Southgate over the situation. His comments on an Egyptian website today state that Mido has no plans to move on and wants to fight for his place. Good on him.
