Chelsea 1 v Middlesbrough 0 1988 Play Off Second Leg

Boro won the aggergate result 2-1, but were beaten on the day by Chelsea 1-0. Bernie Slaven missed a glorious chance to put the game to bed in the first half as he failed to score from 6 yards out with a header.

Some guy scored for Chelsea, but it wasn't enough for the home team and there very angry fans. The Chelsea fans decided to play dirty after the game which saw them get a big fine from the F.A. and a section of their ground was closed at the beginning of the next season as punishment.

Here are some highlights of the memorable match. It was a hot sunny day in West London.
