F.A. Cup 4th Round at the Molineux.
That was better from the boys in red. Again,
we created chance after chance to break the deadlock, but were unable
because of our lack of composure in the final third. Adam Johnson was
guilty of fluffing a couple of very good opportunities and Alves, again, had a couple of half-chances that should have troubled the Wolves keeper.
Wolves rested a number of players, due to their top of the table clash
this coming Tuesday, and were outclassed by Boro all over the Park. There were two moments of magic that contributed to Boro's first goal on 44 minutes. Tuncay's reverse pass to Alves was sublime and the Brazilian's deft-touch chip over the keeper was world class.
The home side got back into the game midway through the second half with Vokes nodding in a deep cross. Southgate sent on our Dutch wizard and he came up with the goods to send Boro into the last 16. Emnes
received the ball from the impressive Downing and dispatched a low shot
past the Wolves keeper into the bottom corner of the goal. Winner!

Come On Boro!
