Not quite post from the pub, but post from the takeaway!
It's the new year and all I am hearing is, "this diet" "that diet"
and "you must eat this". It's a load of rubbish. I say: "enjoy yourself
whilst you still can"!!
very own 'Parmo diet' will keep you completely replenished after each
sitting and you will not have to worry about the fat content because
the fat content won't be worrying about you!
What makes a Parmo a Parmo? You maybe thinking is it some Spanish mix or is it outer Mongolian tipple?!
This calorie packed bit of lushness was brought to these shores in 1958
by Nicos Harris, a chef with the US Army in the Second World War. He
was shot whilst cooking pancakes in France, the story gets worse, and
was then brought to England to be treated in a hospital in Bristol.
After recovering, he moved to Middlesbrough and opened a restaurant/takeaway on Linthorpe Road where he created the Parmo at The American Grill in 1958.
So, we can thank Mr Harris for the fat ugly beasts that roam the streets of Middlesbrough. Cheers!

the earth. The 2008 winner was Borges Takaway in Stockton.
