The Football Blog

Ray Winstone is everybody’s favourite actor, geezer and football nut and we here at Catflap have got our hands on three signed copies of his new DVD “Football Blinders and Blunders” to give away to three of our lucky readers.

The DVD features the best and the worst football has to offer from the slickest of free-kicks, blinding goals, the most ludicrous of goal-keeping gaffes, the nightmare misses and moments of pure magic. Presented by the big man himself, in his no-nonsense style, this is certainly to be the pick of this years football howlers DVD.

If you fancy your chances of winning, click here and tell us the name of Ray's acting daughter...

Happy days...

Our box of Football Manager 2009 arrives...

Would you look at that, it's just beautiful isn't it? But if you can look past Production Editor Mark Brown's double-jointed thumb, you'll see that we've just this morning received the ten copies of the spanking new Football Manager 2009. We've played the game, (our own review copy, before the authorities start asking), and although we're clearly rubbish (played four, lost four as QPR manager), the game itself is awesome, bringing back memories of long nights and missed morning Uni lectures.

To win a copy for yourself, click here to enter the competition...

Please note, Mark Brown's thumb is not up for grabs...

With Phil Daniels Football Match Day Madness DVD...

You know it's Christmas when the next lot of football gaffes DVDs are being advertised. And this year is no different, with Phil Daniels' Football Match Day Madness released on December 1st. Yes, as in him from Quadrophenia, Eastenders and Blur's Parklife video.

And alongside the release, Phil wants to celebrate the best of football's amateur gaffes too, by laughing at clips of the funniest Sunday League moments (like above). So for your chance to win tickets for a Premier League game along with a tour of your choice stadium (in England) and a copy of the DVD, upload a clip of your best footballing gaffes here, and Phil Daniels himself will pick the winner. Runners-up will win a copy of the DVD.

Bronson: Brave and challenging portrait of notorious lifer and the UK's 'most violent prisoner' Charles Bronson. Venue: NFT – BFI Southbank

Boasting a rich Irish heritage, triple distilled Jameson is the perfect accompaniment to all this year’s festivities.  Versatile, sophisticated, and playful – enjoy smooth tasting Jameson straight up, with a simple mixer or as a refreshing cocktail.
