NO. 5: Gary Neville

Ever since he appeared on the scene at Man Utd, Gary has been sporting the same piece of bum fluff which now, 12 years later, just about resembles a man tache.

Azor - King Of ShavesAzor says: No need for humour here folks. Neville is widely hated, I'd love to get my blades on him.

NO. 4: Socrates

The Brazilian legend could barely be seen through his beard. Resplendent in his two World Cup finals of 1982 and 1986, it's rumoured (by us) that he used to use yak urine to keep it in tip top shape.

Azor - King Of ShavesAzor says: Brazilian legend ends up at Garforth Town with Simon Clifford? And you don't see the link?

NO. 3: Ruud Gullit

At its finest, his face fur could have played up front on its own. Thick, luxurious and threatening, it put many defenders off at the vital moment, allowing Gullit to swoop in for a customary towering header. Danny Blind never got over it.

Azor - King Of ShavesAzor says: And you lot think it was a coincidence that he was plagued by knee trouble? Big muzzie, bad kness, You do the math...

NO. 2: Rudi Voller

The German goal machine and official 'least popular football of the 90s' showed unswerving dedication to facial hair. While strike partner Jurgen Klinsmann had skin like a baby's bum, Voller was a firm fan of the rough cut look.

Azor - King Of ShavesAzor says: All I'm saying is that I had a word with Frank Rijkaard, and it was the muzzie that sent him west. Nurse, the gel please, I'm going in...

Ian Rush

NO. 1: Ian Rush

Welsh striking legend Rush was a staunch supporter of the muzzie throughout his career. It was there when he scored his first goal for Liverpool against Oulon Pallosuera, and it was there when he spent a season labouring in midfield for Leeds.

Azor - King Of ShavesAzor says: Liverpool this, Liverpool that...if he'd have shaved that rug off his lip Wales would've won the World Cup. Probably...
