Jase: Chuffed...

Notts County get in touch to tell us about Jason Beardsley...

Notts County have responded positively to Jason Beardsley's fine start to the season by extending his spell on loan from Derby County until January. The 19-year-old right-back signed initially for three months but has already shown enough in just three matches to prompt Ian McParland to secure his services for a longer period. Said the Manager: "Jason has really impressed us since he came here last month. He is very eager to learn and his hunger and appetite for the game has been fantastic. "He is still learning and is by no means the finished article. But so far we're really pleased with what we've seen from him." Beardsley himself is relishing the opportunity to play first team football in the famous black and white stripes having found his opportunities limited at Pride Park.

He made just a single first-team appearance last term for the Rams, but has quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Meadow Lane. He commented: "I'm really happy at Notts County and pleased to be here. I didn't get many opportunities at Derby so to come here and play first-team football is exciting and I'm pleased with how things have gone so far. "The challenge now is to maintain and build on the standards I've set for myself and I'll be trying my best to do that."
